The aging process causes changes in our face that makes us look old. The most obvious change in most people is the loss of fat in specific areas of the face. This loss of volume results in sunken areas around the eyes and mouth. The result of this deflation is sagging of the skin, especially in the cheeks and jowls, and hollow areas, particularly below the eyes. Trauma to the face can also contribute to these unsightly areas of sunkenness. Using a technique called Fat Transfer to the Face, we can plump up those areas and restore the natural fullness that you had with youth without undergoing a facelift.
Other changes that occur with age include the presence of pigmentations scattered on the face (called age spots), fine lines and wrinkles. The texture and color of the skin changes to a sallow or pale appearance. CO2 Laser Resurfacing is the gold standard technique to correct these problems. It can reduce or obliterate age induced pigmentations, smooth out the skin and reduce the fine lines and wrinkles, and it stimulates collagen production within the skin to give is a more youthful appearance.
Combining several procedures can result in a remarkable enhancement of your more youthful face. It gives you much better results than doing just one single procedure, which makes sense since the aging process is not just one problem. You need to tighten the skin, reduce the pigmentations, smooth the skin, replace volume to the sunken areas. To do adequate facial rejuvenation, you should consider multiple options for maximal results.
Botox cosmetic relaxes specific facial muscles of the face to smooth out wrinkles that can form from the contractions of these muscles. The most common areas are in the forehead, the glabella and the sides of the eyes (crow’s feet). The procedures is quick and simple with results lasting around three months. People come back every three months to get retreated because they like the way they look after each treatment.
Facial Fillers are usually hyaluronic acid compounds that fill sunken areas on the face to replenish the lost volume that occurs during the aging process. The most common ones that we use are Juvederm and Voluma. Sunken areas below the eyes and around the mouth can be enhanced with this quick technique. Lips can also be enhanced. Another technique is to use your own plasma to assist in the enhancement, called the PlasmaLift or Vampire Lift.
