On Friday, February 17th, Dr. True was interviewed by talk host Carol Blonder on Networking Arizona on KFNX radio in Phoenix, AZ. Carol asked about the latest statements by the attorney general regarding HCG use in a diet program. Dr. True explained that the ban on HCG was specifically the over the counter product that was being promoted as a diet aid. In reality, there was no HCG in the homeopathic preparation, plus it endorsed a 500 calorie a day diet without adequate supervision by a physician.

Dr. True’s HCG True Diet is different. It uses prescription only HCG which can adequately change the body’s metabolism to burn the fat for energy when a 500 calorie a day diet is eaten. In addition, the calories from the fat are sensed by the brain and one’s appetite decreases too. However, proper nutritional counseling is essential, and this is part of Dr. True’s program.

Regular counseling to instill lifestyle changes over time is essential for long term weight loss maintenance. Losing weight quickly and feeling good while you do it is normal for the HCG True Diet program. However, keeping the weight off after the HCG is important, and his program outlines the necessary requirements needed to accomplish this long term goal.

All these concepts are written in his book, “Break the Cycle”, that is about the HCG True Diet. It includes the information on how to do the diet, the lifestyle changes that are included in the program, emphasizes and includes exercises as part of these lifestyle changes, the health benefits of losing weight, and explains much of the controversies about the diet program.

Most people who do the diet program lose 20 to 30 pounds during the first part of the program. While doing this, they must actively change their eating and exercise habits. If such actions are continued, then the hope is that these behaviors, if done every day, will become healthy habits that one would continue for the rest of their lives to maintain the weight.

Dr. True also offers a long term weight maintenance program that includes regular checks and injections of a mixture of nutrients called the LipoShot. The LipoShot is a combination of all natural ingredients designed to burn fat and increase energy. It combines “lipotropic” co-enzymes, B vitamins, amino acids and a fat metabolizing mineral to improve the metabolism of fat for its elimination. Further counseling and accountability to do a weight reducing diet and exercise program can help one continue to lose excess weight and maintain proper weight.

During the interview, Dr. True discussed the network of physicians who ascribe to his HCG True Diet program across the United States. He recommended that any HCG diet program utilizing a 500 calorie a day diet should be adequately monitored. Thus, people from anywhere in the country can look on the website, www.hcgtruediet.com, and find a physician near them who can help them with the diet.

Adequate supervision for this diet is not only recommended by Dr. True, but also by Dr. Oz. In his TV show segments of the diet, he said that the successes of the diet were remarkable and that this is definitely a diet program that should be considered, but only done with adequate supervision.

In addition, adequate nutrition should be maintained and Dr. True’s diet program was mentioned in an article in Women’s First magazine as one of the HCG diet programs that has been changed to reflect this nutritional requirement. The magazine also mentioned Dr. True’s book, “Break the Cycle”, that outlines these principles. The book can be purchased at Amazon.com.

The interview ended by Carol recommending listeners to go to the HCGTrueDiet.com website, or Dr. True’s website, www.truemd.com, or call Dr. True at 817-399-8783 for further information.
